  • Samsung Fridge - No Ice & No Cool

Model: RF29BB8900AWAA Location: Lehigh Acres, FL 33971 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for intermittent no ice and no cooling. Upon arrival, found multiple error codes displayed on the Family Hub. Inspected the unit and found a faulty damper on the freezer evaporator cover, ambient temperature sensor, main control board, rusted/damaged freezer rails, and ice maker issues. Replaced all ordered components and initially received a B8 error code. Reset power to the refrigerator and the error cleared. Found significant rust throughout the freezer area, which may be contributing to communication issues. Advised that if the communication problem returns and is traced to the cabinet-mounted connectors, those connections are not repairable. Also found the freezer compartment requires a deep cleaning due to maggots being present. Left the refrigerator operating and cooling properly at this time.

  • Whirlpool Fridge - Ice Maker Leaking & Ice Buildup

Model: WRS321SDHW08 Location: Cape Coral, FL 33909 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for the ice maker leaking water and ice buildup around the evaporator fan, causing a loud noise. Upon arrival, no abnormal noise was present. Forced the ice maker to cycle and waited for the water fill. During the fill cycle, verified water leaking from the rear cabinet area. A previous repair had already been attempted several months ago, during which the fill tube was sealed and extended with a plastic tube. Water is now leaking at the transition point where the fill tube passes from the exterior cabinet into the freezer section (see video). Contacted Whirlpool Tech Support and provided visual documentation of the leak. Whirlpool determined the refrigerator is unrepairable because the available repair had already been attempted and failed. Provided the customer with the reference number. The third-party warranty company will be contacted for an alternate resolution.

  • KitchenAid Ice Machine - No Ice

Model: KUIO18NNZS2 Location: Cape Coral, FL 33991 Repair Summary Checked ice machine for not producing ice. Upon arrival, found the unit turned off. Turned the ice machine on and connected the water supply. Verified the reservoir filled properly with good water pressure. The circulation pump started and circulated water over the cold plate. Removed the drain cap and verified the unit drained properly. Refilled the reservoir and continued testing. Verified the compressor and fans started; however, after approximately five minutes, the cold plate showed no temperature change. Inspected the compressor area and found no visible oil residue. Found the condenser coil rusted, indicating possible previous water exposure and a potential pinhole refrigerant leak. A complete sealed-system diagnosis would require replacing the damaged condenser and pressure testing the system to determine whether additional leaks are present. Due to the extent and cost of the repair exceeding the value of the unit, recommended replacement.

  • Samsung Range - Burner Issues

Model: NSE6DG8300SRAA 00 Location: Naples, FL 34116 Repair Summary Checked oven for multiple burner issues. Customer stated the front two burners were not working and the rear right burner was not cycling heat properly, with only the rear left burner operating normally. Tested all four burners and documented operation on video. Removed the control panel to inspect the regulators and found the control panel infested, with roach feces covering the main control board. Also found the main wire harness to the front left burner severely burnt and damaged. The unit would require multiple components, including burners, regulators, main control board, and wire harness assembly. Recommend replacing the complete control panel assembly since it includes several of the required components. Due to the roach contamination affecting the unit, the warranty company determined the repair is not covered under the customer’s plan.
