Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for multiple concerns. Customer pointed out slight waves visible in the fresh food doors when light reflects across the surface at a specific angle. Customer stated the doors did not appear this way when the refrigerator was originally purchased. Explained that I cannot compare the current appearance to the original condition since I was not present during installation over a year ago. The condition does not affect refrigerator performance and is considered cosmetic, which is not covered under the extended warranty. Also found a slight air gap at the upper left corner of the freezer door gasket. Attempted to reshape the gasket using heat and added Permagum behind the gasket to improve the seal; however, the gap returned. Removed and rotated the freezer door gasket 90 degrees, but the condition remained. Recommend replacement of the freezer door, rail slides, and door gasket, as these components work together to control proper door alignment, closing, and sealing. Submitted the findings to the warranty company for authorization. The warranty company will contact the customer with further resolution.
