GE Dryer - Leaving Marks On Clothes

Repair Summary

Checked dryer for leaving black marks on clothing. Explained that this commonly occurs when clothing gets caught in the gap between the drum and top bearing, allowing the fabric to rub against the drum slides and leave black marks. Replaced the top bearing and lower felt seal. Reassembled and tested the dryer, verifying the drum spins properly and the unit cycles heat normally. Customer left the dryer running with a white sheet inside to further test operation. Advised the customer that this issue may occur again due to the design of the dryer, as a gap remains where certain clothing items can potentially become caught between the drum and bearing. Other than that, unit checks normal at this time.
