GE Washer - Stopping Mid Cycle
Model: GFW550SSN4WW
Location: Naples, FL 34105
Repair Summary
Checked washer for stopping in the middle of a cycle and becoming unusable. Upon arrival, verified proper 120V supply to the washer. Powered the unit on successfully; however, within approximately 30 seconds, the washer powered off and the relays on the main control board began clicking. Connected SmartHQ and ran service diagnostics, which showed multiple stored and active error codes related to the pressure switch, drain system, main control board, and inverter. SmartHQ also indicated a mandatory software update. Attempted the update, but it failed. Based on the diagnostic results, ordered the necessary electronic components and drain pump. Returned and installed the new main control board, inverter board, and drain pump. Programmed the new control board according to the unit specifications and tested operation. Verified the washer fills, washes, drains, and spins properly with no issues. All checks passed and unit is operating normally at this time.
