Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for no cooling. Customer stated they removed the bottom grille and found a large amount of debris buildup on the condenser coil. After vacuuming the coil, the refrigerator began cooling again but was still not cooling properly. Checked temperatures and found the freezer at approximately 31°F and the fresh food section at approximately 38°F. Verified the compressor and all fans were operating. No excessive frost buildup was found on the evaporator coil. Found the suction line near the compressor freezing over, indicating a possible low refrigerant charge or sealed-system restriction. A sealed-system repair would be required for further diagnosis and repair. Due to the refrigerator approaching nine years old and the cost of the repair exceeding the value of the unit, recommended that the customer replace the refrigerator rather than proceed with the repair.
