Repair Summary
Checked washer for a noise complaint during the spin cycle. Tested the unit and found the suspension rods worn and defective. Inspected underneath the washer and found evidence of oil leakage. Showed the customer and explained that the oil is coming from the transmission/gearcase and may indicate a developing failure. The gearcase is not currently producing abnormal noise but may require replacement in the future if the condition worsens. Customer elected to proceed with the suspension repair at this time. Replaced all four suspension rods and tested operation. Washer is now operating properly at this time.
