Maytag Washer - Noisy / Off Balance Issue

Repair Summary

Checked washer for excessive noise during the spin cycle and frequent off-balance conditions. Customer stated the gearcase had previously been replaced. Tested the suspension rods and found them worn, contributing to the off-balance condition. Inspected underneath the washer and found fresh oil leaking from the gearcase, confirming the gearcase had failed again. Determined the unit required another complete tub job along with replacement of the suspension rods. Began disassembling the washer for the repair but found the required gearcase had not been sent. Left the supplied parts on site and the washer disassembled until the correct gearcase could be obtained. Returned and completed the full tub job. Reassembled and tested the washer, verifying proper operation with no abnormal noise, off-balance condition, or water leaks (see video). Unit is working properly at this time.
