Repair Summary
Checked freezer for not cooling. Upon arrival, customer stated the unit had started cooling again and all food was currently frozen. Measured the internal temperature at approximately 17°F, confirming the unit is maintaining freezing conditions at this time. Verified the evaporator fan is operating and circulating cold air properly. Inspected the compressor area and found the freezer is installed in a garage with an ambient temperature of approximately 100°F. This model is not rated for outdoor or high-temperature environments and does not utilize a condenser fan, causing the compressor to overheat under these conditions. Advised the customer that the freezer should be moved indoors to a temperature-controlled environment or replaced with a model specifically rated for garage/outdoor use. No mechanical failure found at this time. Unit checks normal.
