Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for a reported chemical odor. Customer stated the odor had been stronger previously but decreased after unplugging the refrigerator for approximately 1–2 days. Upon arrival, no abnormal odor was detected. Removed the freezer evaporator cover and inspected the evaporator; frost pattern was normal and no issues or residue were found on the defrost heater. Inspected the compressor and sealed-system area and found the unit operating smoothly with no abnormal odors or visible issues. Advised the customer that the refrigerator uses R600a refrigerant, which is odorless. Refrigerator is cooling properly and the customer is not experiencing any operational issues. Customer will continue to monitor the unit. No repairs performed.
