Repair Summary
Checked dishwasher for door not closing and broken strike. Upon arrival, found the metal door strike broken. Also found the door latch assembly inside the control panel stuck in the closed position. Removed the control panel and reset the latch. During inspection, found the control panel mounting threads cracked and stripped, causing the panel to sit loosely. Replaced the control panel and transferred the Wi-Fi card and necessary electronics to the new panel. Secured the panel and latch and tested the door. Initially found excessive pressure keeping the door from closing properly. Further inspection found the rear gooseneck was not properly seated on the frame, preventing the upper rack assembly from fully seating and creating pressure against the door. Corrected the gooseneck position, which relieved the pressure on the door. Replaced the broken door strike and verified the door now closes and latches properly. Ran a HASS service diagnostic report and tested all other components. All tests passed with no additional issues found. Unit checks normal at this time.
