Repair Summary
Checked dishwasher for leaking. Upon inspection, found the disposal knockout cap had not been removed, preventing the dishwasher from draining properly and leaving the tub full of water. Removed the disposal cap and attempted to drain the remaining water, but found the drain pump had failed. Advised the customer that the drain pump will need to be replaced. Explained that the drainage issue was caused by the disposal cap not being removed during installation, which caused the pump to continue running for an extended period and resulted in the pump burning out. No other issues found at this time.
