Repair Summary

Checked dryer for not starting a cycle. Customer stated the dryer makes a humming noise followed by a clicking sound and then does not start. Upon arrival, attempted to rotate the drum by hand and found it would spin but catch at a certain point. Removed the front cover and inspected the blower housing area. Found no foreign objects or obstructions inside the blower wheel; however, the blower assembly is out of round, causing the wheel to rub against the surrounding trim/fascia and bind during rotation. A new motor/blower assembly would be required to correct the issue. Due to the cost of the repair exceeding the value of the dryer, recommended that the customer replace the unit rather than proceed with the repair.
