Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for a broken plastic piece that had fallen from the bottom of the right fresh food door. Upon inspection, identified the piece as part of the door auto-closer assembly. Found the mounting point where the auto-closer attaches to the bottom of the door had broken off and could not be reattached because it is part of the door itself. Determined the right fresh food door would need to be replaced to restore proper opening and closing operation. While onsite, also checked both ice makers for a knocking noise during water fill. Customer has an under-sink reverse osmosis system, which may be contributing to the noise, and will have the RO system inspected. Ran HASS diagnostics and verified overall cooling and component operation with no additional error codes or issues found. Returned and installed the new right fresh food door. Tested opening and closing operation and verified all door gaskets are sealing properly. Showed the customer the completed repair. Unit checks normal at this time.
