Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for no cooling. Upon arrival, verified the compressor and all fans were running. Connected HASS and ran a service diagnostic report, which showed abnormally high temperatures over the previous week, averaging approximately 60°F. Inspected the compressor area and found no visible oil residue. Performed a bubble test and confirmed a refrigerant leak at the condenser coupler (see video). Removed the leaking coupler and replaced it, then installed a service port and new filter drier. Pressurized the sealed system to 350 PSI with nitrogen and allowed it to stabilize for 10 minutes. During the initial 15-minute pressure test, the system dropped 4 PSI. Isolated the gauges for an additional 15 minutes and found only a 0.2 PSI loss through the gauge setup. Reopened the valves and repeated the system test, which showed a 2.75 PSI drop compared with the previous test and was considered a passing result. Discharged the nitrogen and vacuumed the system down to approximately 600 microns. Charged the refrigerator according to factory specifications. Restored power and verified the compressor and fans started properly. Ran an Overall Quality Check and confirmed the evaporator temperature was beginning to drop, generating a passing report. Set the temperatures accordingly and advised the customer to allow approximately 24 hours for proper cooling. Unit checks normal at this time.
