Samsung Fridge - No Cool
Model: RS22T5201SR/AA
Location: Cape Coral, FL 33904
Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for a no-cool condition. Upon arrival, found the unit unplugged. Restored power and allowed sufficient time for startup. All fans are operating; however, the compressor does not start. Connected HASS and ran a service diagnostic report, which showed multiple compressor-related error codes. Inspected the sealed system and found oil present in the condenser pan, indicating a likely refrigerant leak in the condenser area. Based on the findings, the unit would require a complete sealed system repair along with replacement of the main control board. The refrigerator is only a few months outside of the sealed system warranty, and the current Samsung service ticket has been canceled due to the unit being out of warranty. Customer will contact Samsung directly to request assistance. Explained that if Samsung agrees to cover the complete repair, a new service ticket with the appropriate authorization would need to be issued. Also explained that if the customer elects to pay for the sealed system repair, there is a possibility of an internal cabinet refrigerant leak that cannot be confirmed until the sealed system is repaired and pressure tested. If an internal non-repairable leak is discovered after the authorized repair has been performed, the cost of the completed repair would not be refundable. This possibility was explained prior to authorization so the customer can make an informed decision. Customer understands and will contact Samsung regarding possible coverage or alternate resolution.
