Repair Summary
Checked microwave for not heating. Customer stated the microwave worked properly for a period of time but eventually stopped heating in Microwave mode while Convection mode continued to work. Explained that Convection mode uses a heating element and does not rely on the magnetron. Tested the magnetron with a multimeter and it checked within specifications. Verified the high-voltage transformer was supplying voltage to the magnetron, indicating the magnetron was likely failing under load. Replaced the magnetron, capacitor, and diode. Tested the microwave by heating a cup of water and verified it now heats properly. Unit checks normal at this time.
