Repair Summary
Checked microwave for a scraping/popping noise when opening the door. Took a video documenting the noise before the repair. Upon inspection, found the corner of a plastic component barely catching against the metal frame as the door was opened. Carefully trimmed the corner slightly to provide proper clearance. Reassembled the vent cover and verified the modification is not visible once the unit is assembled. Tested the door multiple times and confirmed it now opens and closes smoothly with no scraping, popping, or other abnormal noises. Showed the customer the completed repair and took an after-repair video documenting proper operation. Unit checks normal at this time.
