Whirlpool Dryer - Vent Light Coming On & Noisy

Repair Summary

Checked dryer for the Check Vent light coming on and a noise concern. Ran diagnostics and found an F1E1 error code indicating a main control board fault. Ordered the main control board with encoder, heater and blower thermistors, blower motor, and blower wheel. Returned and installed all ordered parts along with a new idler pulley due to the noise concern. Started a Timed Dry cycle and verified the dryer was operating properly with no abnormal noises and the Check Vent light did not come on. Advised the customer that since the necessary components have been replaced and the dryer is heating and drying properly, if the Check Vent light comes on again it may be a vent reminder rather than an issue with the dryer itself. Unit checks normal at this time.
