Whirlpool Fridge - Intermittent Ice Dispensing

Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for intermittent ice dispensing. Customer stated the ice maker is producing ice, but the dispenser intermittently will not dispense it. Upon inspection, found the ice maker leaking slightly during the fill cycle. Also found the retaining clip where the ice bin locks into position is broken (see pictures). When the auger motor activates, the broken clip allows the ice bin to push outward instead of remaining securely engaged, preventing proper ice dispensing. Because the bin is being pushed out of position, water dripping from the ice maker is falling between the ice bin and auger assembly rather than directly into the bin. The damaged retaining clip is incorporated into the refrigerator cabinet liner and is not a replaceable component. Due to the location of the damage, this condition is not repairable.
