Whirlpool Fridge - No Ice

Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for no ice production. Upon arrival, placed the unit into service mode and checked for error codes; none were present. Forced the ice maker through a cycle and verified it cycled properly and attempted to call for water, but no water entered the ice maker. Inspected the fill tube and found it frozen. Removed and replaced the frozen fill tube and heater assembly, and applied Permagum around the area for additional insulation. Tested the ice maker again and verified it called for water properly with no leaks. Checked the ice maker optics and verified they are functioning properly. Also confirmed the water dispenser has good water pressure. Checked freezer temperature and found it at approximately 3°F, which is sufficient for proper ice production. Advised the customer to allow approximately 24 hours for normal ice production to resume. Unit checks normal at this time.
