Repair Summary

Checked cooktop/oven for intermittent power issues and not staying on. Upon arrival, found the unit disconnected from power. Customer stated there had recently been a lightning strike. Reconnected the unit and inspected the wiring for any signs of burning or damage; none were found. Attempted to duplicate the issue by opening and closing the oven door, but the unit continued operating normally. Stress tested the appliance by operating all burners on high along with the oven while repeatedly opening the oven door. Unit remained powered on and all functions operated properly. Advised the customer the previous issue may have been a temporary glitch caused by the power surge. If the issue occurs again, recommended recording a short video showing exactly what happens so it can be further diagnosed. No issues could be duplicated at this time and unit checks normal.
