Model: MHW8630HC4

Location: Alva, FL 33920

Repair Summary

Checked washer for not identifying the detergent level or notifying the customer when the dispenser needed to be refilled. Upon arrival, found the detergent reservoir nearly empty. Filled the reservoir with water and started a cycle, verifying the dispenser was able to dispense the diluted solution properly. Emptied the reservoir and tested the detergent level sensor mechanism, which then correctly identified a low detergent level. Filled the reservoir with detergent and tested again, verifying the detergent level dropped during operation and the low-detergent notification cleared as expected. Based on the findings, the float mechanism was likely positioned incorrectly, preventing the internal magnet from properly activating the level sensor and causing the washer to continuously identify the reservoir as full. Explained the findings to the customer. No error codes or leaks were present, and all other components are operating properly. Unit checks normal at this time.
