Maytag Washer - Won't Start Wash Cycle
Model: MVW7230HW0
Location: North Fort Myers, FL 33917
Repair Summary
Customer reported that the washer would not operate or start a wash cycle. Performed diagnostic testing and retrieved an error code indicating a stator-related fault. Upon inspection, discovered that the tub seal was leaking, allowing water to reach the rotor and stator assemblies. This resulted in a motor-related fault affecting communication with the user interface and preventing the washer from responding properly. Additionally, identified worn tub bearings contributing to the overall mechanical failure.
Determined that the washer would require replacement of the tub assembly, rotor, and stator to restore operation to manufacturer specifications. Due to the extent of the damage and the cost of the necessary repairs, the repair was determined to be economically impractical. Customer was advised of the findings and elected to replace the washer rather than proceed with repairs.
