Samsung Fridge - Insufficient Cooling
Model: RF32CG5300SRAA
Location: Lehigh Acres, FL 33971
Repair Summary
Inspected the refrigerator in response to the customer's complaint of insufficient cooling. During the diagnostic inspection, identified a refrigerant leak at the filter drier and observed evidence of sulfur-related damage affecting portions of the copper refrigerant lines. Additionally, retrieved an error code indicating a freezer evaporator fan motor malfunction, which can interfere with proper airflow and cooling performance. Contacted the warranty company while on-site, reported the diagnostic findings, including the observed sulfur damage, and obtained authorization to proceed with the necessary repairs.
Replaced the leaking filter drier and installed a new freezer evaporator cover assembly to address the evaporator fan motor error. Following the sealed system repair, pressurized the refrigeration circuit with nitrogen to 350 PSI to check for leaks. Subsequently evacuated the sealed system using a vacuum pump and performed operational testing after completing the repairs. Verified that the refrigerator resumed normal operation and that all tested functions were operating properly at the time of service. The previously observed sulfur-related corrosion on the copper refrigerant lines was documented as an existing condition.
