Repair Summary

Customer reported that the refrigerator was not cooling in either compartment and that an electrical burning smell had been detected. Upon arrival, found the refrigerator unplugged. Reconnected power to perform diagnostics and attempted to access HASS; however, an 84C compressor-related error code prevented further diagnostic testing. Verified that neither the compressor nor the evaporator fan motor was operating, while the condenser fan motor was running. Additionally, the customer was unable to connect the refrigerator to SmartThings due to a communication error.


Attempted to duplicate the reported electrical smell during the inspection but was unable to reproduce the concern. Due to the compressor fault, cooling failure, communication issue, and reported electrical odor, the refrigerator was left unplugged as a precaution until the necessary repairs can be completed. Unit remains inoperative at this time.
