Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for a no-cooling complaint. Upon inspection, identified sulfur-related corrosion on the refrigerant lines, consistent with environmental exposure associated with well water. Explained to the customer that sulfur compounds in the surrounding environment can contribute to corrosion of metal components, similar to the deterioration commonly observed on sinks and shower fixtures. Further inspection identified a refrigerant leak at the filter drier, resulting in loss of cooling performance.


Received authorization to proceed with the sealed system repair and replaced the leaking filter drier. Performed a pressure test and ran diagnostic testing, verifying normal operation after completing the repair. Advised the customer to allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach proper operating temperatures and to monitor cooling performance. Unit checked normal at this time.
