Repair Summary
Customer reported that the upper ice maker was not producing ice, while the refrigerator and freezer compartments were cooling properly and the lower ice maker was operating normally. Performed HASS diagnostics and retrieved an error code associated with the upper ice maker. Ran a weak cooling test and verified that temperatures in both compartments were within specifications. Inspected the upper ice maker assembly and confirmed that the infrared (IR) sensor was functioning properly.
Replaced the defective upper ice maker and initiated a test cycle to verify operation. Advised the customer to allow up to 24 hours for normal ice production to resume.
