Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for not cooling properly. Upon arrival, found the refrigerator powered off. Restored power and observed that the evaporator and condenser fans were operating, but the compressor was repeatedly cycling on and off without maintaining continuous operation. Inspected the compressor starting components and determined that the compressor start relay was defective. Replaced the compressor start relay and capacitor to correct the issue.


Following the repair, verified that the compressor, evaporator fan, and condenser fan were operating properly. Advised the customer to allow approximately 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach normal operating temperatures of 0°F in the freezer and 37°F in the fresh food compartment. Also identified significantly reduced water pressure supplying the refrigerator's filtration system. Replaced the water filter; however, the low water flow condition remained unchanged. Advised the customer that the reverse osmosis filtration system located under the sink may be restricting the water supply and should be inspected. Refrigerator cooling components check normal at this time.
