Model: MRB19B7AST

Location: Fort Myers, FL 33916

Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for customer complaint of insufficient cooling. Upon arrival, inspected the unit and found that it was operating properly, with no cooling issues present at the time of service. Customer stated that the freezer door may have been accidentally left open by the children, potentially allowing warm, humid air to enter the compartment and causing excessive frost accumulation around the freezer evaporator fan. This condition could temporarily restrict fan operation and interfere with proper airflow and cooling performance. Further inspection revealed that the freezer compartment was excessively packed with food, potentially restricting air circulation.

Advised the customer to reduce the amount of food stored in the freezer and maintain adequate clearance around the air vents to ensure proper airflow throughout the compartment. Customer acknowledged the recommendations and agreed to reorganize the freezer contents and monitor the refrigerator's performance. Explained that if the issue returns and frost accumulation continues to interfere with evaporator fan operation, replacement of the freezer evaporator cover assembly may be necessary. No repairs were required or performed during this visit. Refrigerator was operating normally at the time of inspection.
