Bosch Dishwasher - Poor Cleaning Performance
Model: SHE3ADF5N/01
Location: North Fort Myers, FL 33903
Repair Summary
Checked dishwasher for customer complaint of poor cleaning performance despite the unit completing wash cycles. Operated the dishwasher and verified that it fills with the proper amount of water and initiates the wash cycle. Confirmed the drain installation was correct and the circulation motor was running; however, the wash water was not heating properly. Attempted to enter diagnostic mode but was unsuccessful. No stored error codes were found. Based on the inspection and operational testing, determined that the heat pump assembly was not functioning properly and required replacement. Also found multiple broken rack wheels requiring replacement.
Replaced the motor/heat pump assembly and damaged rack wheels. After completing the repairs, operated the dishwasher through a wash cycle and verified proper operation. Unit is now operating as designed. Explained to the customer that the console is considered a cosmetic component and is not covered under the warranty. Also educated the customer on proper loading procedures, specifically advising caution when placing cups on the lower rack. Due to the larger openings in the rack, smaller cups can extend through the bottom and obstruct the lower spray arm, preventing proper rotation and water distribution during the wash cycle. Unit checks normal at this time.
