Bosch Fridge - No Cool
Model: B36FD52SNS/01
Location: Cape Coral, FL 33904
Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for customer complaint of complete cooling failure in both the fresh food and freezer compartments. Upon arrival, confirmed that the refrigerator was connected to electrical power and that the interior lights were functioning properly. Verified that the freezer evaporator fan was operating. Removed the rear lower access panel to inspect the refrigeration components and confirmed that both the condenser fan motor and compressor were running. Uploaded video documentation verifying their operation. During the inspection, the refrigerator had been pulled away from the cabinetry to access the rear components. When repositioning the appliance back into its cabinet opening, observed oil residue on the floor beneath the refrigerator. The presence of oil residue, combined with the complete loss of cooling despite the compressor and fans operating, raises concern for a possible refrigerant leak or sealed-system failure. However, the exact source of the oil residue and the condition of the sealed system were not confirmed through additional testing.
The customer stated that the refrigerator was purchased approximately one year ago and installed in a newly constructed home that had never previously been occupied. Explained that Bosch refrigerators may carry additional manufacturer warranty coverage for certain sealed-system components, depending on the specific model, purchase date, and applicable warranty terms. Recommended that the customer contact Bosch directly to verify warranty eligibility and arrange an inspection through an authorized Bosch factory service provider. Advised that further sealed-system diagnostics would be necessary to confirm the cause of the cooling failure and determine the appropriate repair. No repairs were performed during this visit, and the refrigerator remains inoperative due to the unresolved cooling issue.
