Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for multiple concerns. Upon inspection, traced the abnormal noise to the condenser fan motor. Verified the fan motor bearings have failed, causing the fan blade to wobble and create excessive noise during operation. Advised the customer that if the condenser fan motor fails completely, the refrigerator will no longer cool properly. Also found the refrigerator door was not level, leaving a gap at the upper left corner. Further inspection revealed an incorrect screw had been installed in the upper door hinge, and the threaded mounting point in the cabinet frame is stripped, preventing the hinge from being properly secured. Due to the failed condenser fan motor and the stripped cabinet hinge mounting point, the cost of repair would likely exceed the value of the refrigerator. Recommended replacement of the refrigerator, as there is no reliable repair for the damaged hinge mounting point.
