GE Dishwasher - Detached Door Spring

Repair Summary
Checked dishwasher for the customer’s complaint of a detached door spring. Upon inspection, found that the door spring had become disconnected from its mounting location. Reinstalled and properly secured the spring, restoring the door’s spring-assisted operation. Customer is currently remodeling the home, and the dishwasher has not yet been fully installed. Explained that if the spring or its connecting components become caught or obstructed during installation or movement of the appliance, the spring may become dislodged again. Demonstrated to the customer how to properly reposition and reinstall the spring if this occurs.
Following reinstallation, inspected the spring attachment and verified that it was properly seated. However, because the dishwasher is not currently installed, a complete operational test and wash cycle could not be performed. Advised the customer that full functionality should be verified once the dishwasher is properly installed and connected to the required utilities. No additional visible issues were identified during the inspection. Door spring reinstalled successfully; complete operational testing remains pending installation.
