Repair Summary

Checked cooktop for customer complaint of a loose burner control knob. Upon inspection, determined that the issue was not with the knob itself but with the entire gas burner control switch assembly, which was loose and separating at its center connection point. This separation was compromising the structural integrity of the switch assembly and causing excessive movement when operating the burner control. Determined that the defective switch required replacement to restore proper operation and secure mounting. Uploaded video documentation of the condition and ordered the necessary replacement component.

Returned and installed the new gas burner control switch assembly. Following installation, inspected the mounting and connections to ensure the replacement switch was properly secured with no excessive movement or looseness. Operated the affected burner multiple times to verify proper ignition, control response, and mechanical stability. Additionally, tested all remaining cooktop burners and confirmed that each ignited and operated correctly. The previously loose burner control is now secure and functioning properly. Repair completed successfully, with all burners operating as designed and no additional issues identified at this time.
