Repair Summary
Checked washer/dryer combo for multiple concerns. Customer stated the unit turns on by itself and the door locks without input. Upon arrival, cycled the unit on and off several times and verified all keys and functions were responding properly. Entered service mode and retrieved several stored error codes related to overheating and restricted airflow. Inspected the lint filter and found it heavily packed with lint and debris; cleaned the filter. Also inspected the detergent dispenser drawers and found significant waxy buildup beginning to accumulate around the drawers, indicating they are not being removed and maintained regularly. Advised the customer that this buildup can affect dispensing and cause restrictions.
Tested all components through service diagnostics and verified the unit passed all tests. Confirmed proper hot and cold water fill with good pressure, agitation, draining, spinning, and heat operation. No active errors or leaks were found. Further inspection found water retaining inside the front rubber door diaphragm due to restricted or clogged weep holes. Advised the customer to routinely clean the weep holes with cotton swabs and remove and clean the drain filter regularly. Also advised that the large amount of dog hair entering the system can contribute to clogs and restricted water flow. Unit checks normal at this time.
