LG Dryer - Stopping Cycle Prematurely
Model: DLE6100W
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33916
Repair Summary
Checked dryer for stopping prematurely during operation. Service ticket indicated that the customer had previously had the dryer vent system cleaned. Upon inspection, measured exhaust airflow using a manometer and found readings indicating poor airflow and a significant restriction in the venting system. Determined that the restricted exhaust airflow was causing excessive heat buildup, resulting in the dryer overheating and shutting down before completing the cycle.
Performed operational testing and verified that the drum rotates properly and the heating system cycles as intended. Advised the customer that the dryer exhaust vent system requires additional cleaning to remove the restriction and restore proper airflow. No internal dryer component failures were identified during testing. Other than the external vent restriction, the dryer checks normal at this time.
