Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for no ice production. Upon arrival, measured the internal freezer temperature and found it averaging approximately 9.5°F, with surface temperature readings slightly lower. Adjusted the freezer temperature setting to -2°F to help improve ice production. Inspected the ice maker and could hear the motor attempting to operate but becoming stuck, preventing the ice maker from completing its harvest cycle. Determined the ice maker was defective and required replacement. Provided the customer with a repair estimate, which was approved.


Removed and replaced the defective ice maker. Manually cycled the new ice maker and verified that it successfully completed a full harvest cycle and filled with water properly. Advised the customer to allow approximately 24–48 hours for normal ice production to resume as the freezer temperature stabilizes. Unit checks normal at this time.
