Maytag Washer - Excessive Vibration During Spin Cycle
Model: MHWE450WW00
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33905
Repair Summary
Checked washer for customer complaint of excessive vibration during the spin cycle. Upon inspection, loaded the washer with four towels and operated the unit through a spin cycle to evaluate vibration, tub stability, and overall performance. Washer completed testing without any abnormal vibration or operational issues. No mechanical defects were identified, and the unit is operating as designed.
Educated the customer that some vibration is normal during high-speed spin cycles, particularly when the washer is installed on smooth vinyl flooring, which can allow the appliance to shift more easily due to reduced traction. Explained the importance of proper load distribution to help minimize vibration during operation. Also advised the customer that future service visits where no mechanical or operational defects are identified may result in a diagnostic service charge, as normal operating characteristics are not considered a warrantable failure. Customer acknowledged and understands. Unit checks normal at this time.
