Repair Summary
Checked washer for grinding noises during agitation. Upon inspection, confirmed the grinding noise and found the cam clutch was difficult to turn. Replaced the cam clutch and tested operation, then noticed abnormal movement from the wash plate. Removed the wash plate and found the gearcase heavily rusted with the shaft rounded off. Determined the washer requires a complete tub/gearcase repair. Warranty company did not approve the repair and will contact the customer directly with further resolution.
