Repair Summary
Checked dishwasher for a complaint of poor drying performance. Upon arrival, found a small amount of standing water remaining in the sump. Started a diagnostic cycle and verified the dishwasher drained properly. Selected the Heavy cycle with the Sanitize option enabled and monitored heater operation. Measured the heating element at 7.8 ohms and confirmed it energized properly, with water reaching proper temperature. During inspection, found rodent/insect droppings on the main control board and control board cover, indicating an infestation issue. Contacted technical support and completed a visual support inspection. Based on the evidence found, I suspect the infestation may have caused intermittent damage to the control board, potentially preventing the dishwasher from completing cycles properly; however, this could not be confirmed because the unit operated normally during today's visit. Customer will monitor for any recurrence.
