Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for a 5C error that appeared after a power reset. Customer stated the error has since cleared and has not returned. The 5C error is related to the fresh food evaporator temperature sensor. Customer also reported the ice maker was dripping. Inspected the ice room and found frost buildup along with ice buildup in the air passage behind the ice maker, indicating an ice room issue. Temperatures were slightly elevated at the time of inspection; however, the refrigerator was in a defrost cycle upon arrival. Customer has not experienced any cooling concerns. Due to the sensor error and ongoing ice room issues, the customer elected to replace the refrigerator rather than proceed with repairs.
