Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for an 84C error code requiring compressor and main control board replacement. Upon arrival, accessed and opened the sealed refrigeration system and discovered that no refrigerant remained in the system, indicating a possible refrigerant leak. Informed the customer of the findings and explained that an undetected leak could be present within the sealed system. Customer acknowledged the potential concern and authorized proceeding with the repair.

Removed the existing compressor and installed a new compressor along with a new main control board as requested by Samsung to address the 84C error code. Pressurized the sealed system with 354 PSI of nitrogen and monitored the pressure for 25 minutes. No pressure loss was observed during testing, indicating no detectable leaks under the test conditions. Evacuated the refrigeration system using a vacuum pump and charged the unit with 2.65 oz of refrigerant. Connected Samsung HASS diagnostic software and performed an overall diagnostic test to verify system operation following the repairs. Customer also requested a separate repair estimate for the French door heater.
