Samsung Fridge - Improper Cooling
Model: RF90F23AEWAA
Location: Cape Coral, FL 33993
Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for improper cooling. Upon arrival, connected HASS and ran a Weak Cooling Test. The diagnostic graphs showed abnormal temperature fluctuations in the freezer section. Inspected the sealed system and found oil residue at the high-side connection, indicating a refrigerant leak. Replaced the high-side coupler, filter drier, and service port. Pressurized the sealed system to approximately 350 PSI with nitrogen and bubble checked all accessible connections. The system lost approximately 3 PSI over 15 minutes. Due to the low system temperatures, the temperature of the sealed system may be affecting the pressure readings. Performed a second pressure test and observed similar pressure loss, although the rate of loss was slightly slower. Evacuated the system to approximately 600 microns and recharged it according to factory specifications. Restored power and verified the compressor and fans started properly with cool air circulating throughout the refrigerator. Set temperatures accordingly. Cycled the ice maker and verified it completed the cycle and filled with water properly. Video documentation is attached. Advised the customer to allow approximately 12–24 hours for the refrigerator to reach proper temperatures and resume normal ice production. Unit checks normal at this time.
