Samsung Fridge - No Cool
Model: RF31CG7400MTAA
Location: Bokeelia, FL 33922
Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for fresh food and freezer sections not cooling properly. Upon arrival, connected HASS and ran the Weak Cooling Test, which failed due to abnormal temperatures in both compartments. Inspected the compressor compartment and verified the compressor and all fans were operating properly. No oil residue was found at the accessible coupler connections. Removed the freezer evaporator cover and found only a partial frost pattern on the top portion of the evaporator coil, indicating a sealed-system issue. Pressurized the sealed system and located a microscopic leak at the high-side coupler. Replaced both high-side couplers, the filter drier, and service port. Pressurized the system and bubble checked all accessible connections with no additional leaks found. The system lost approximately 3.5 PSI over 15 minutes. The refrigerator was still operating during the pressure test, with the fresh food section around 40°F and the freezer in the upper 20s°F. Advised that the operating temperatures can affect pressure readings during the leak test. Evacuated the system to approximately 600 microns and recharged with 85 grams of R600a according to specification. Restored operation and advised the customer to allow approximately 24–48 hours for the refrigerator to regulate temperatures and resume normal ice production. Unit checks normal at this time.
