Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for the customer’s complaint of the freezer not maintaining proper freezing temperatures. Upon inspection, performed a weak cooling diagnostic test, which failed, confirming insufficient cooling performance. Further inspection of the sealed system revealed a refrigerant leak at the condenser coil Lokring connection. Determined that the leaking connection required repair and the filter drier needed replacement to restore proper sealed system operation and cooling performance.
Removed and replaced the leaking Lokring connection and installed a new filter drier. Following the repair, pressurized the sealed system and performed a leak test, which passed with no leaks detected. Evacuated the sealed system using a vacuum pump and recharged the refrigerator with the manufacturer-specified refrigerant charge. Performed a complete overall diagnostic check following the repair, and all tests passed successfully with no additional issues detected. Advised the customer to allow up to 24 hours for the refrigerator and freezer compartments to reach their proper operating temperatures and to monitor cooling performance during this period. Unit checks normal at this time, pending full temperature stabilization.
