Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for no cooling. Upon arrival, found the fresh food section cooling somewhat, while the freezer was cool but not reaching freezing temperatures. Connected HASS and ran a service diagnostic report, which showed two stored ice maker error codes. Ran the Weak Cooling Test and found average temperatures around 30°F. Inspected the compressor area and found no visible oil or obvious signs of a refrigerant leak. Inspected the main control board and initially found the LED was not illuminated. Reset the refrigerator and waited approximately 15 minutes. The LED illuminated and the compressor and fans started. Verified the evaporator fan was operating with good airflow. Based on the cooling performance, proceeded with sealed-system diagnosis. Installed a new filter drier and access valve on the compressor and pressurized the system with 352 PSI of nitrogen. Leak testing identified leaks at both condenser connections. Repaired both connections and pressure tested the system again for approximately 25 minutes. Pressure remained stable and increased slightly rather than dropping, confirming no further pressure loss. Evacuated the sealed system and recharged it with 3.3 oz of refrigerant. Ran the HASS Overall Check and received a passing result with no active error codes or additional issues found. Unit is operating properly at this time.
