Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for intermittent no ice and no cooling. Upon arrival, found multiple error codes displayed on the Family Hub. Inspected the unit and found a faulty damper on the freezer evaporator cover, ambient temperature sensor, main control board, rusted/damaged freezer rails, and ice maker issues. Replaced all ordered components and initially received a B8 error code. Reset power to the refrigerator and the error cleared. Found significant rust throughout the freezer area, which may be contributing to communication issues. Advised that if the communication problem returns and is traced to the cabinet-mounted connectors, those connections are not repairable. Also found the freezer compartment requires a deep cleaning due to maggots being present. Left the refrigerator operating and cooling properly at this time.
