Repair Summary

Customer reported that the refrigerator had been cooling properly initially, but the ice maker stopped producing ice and the freezer temperature subsequently increased. Performed a HASS weak cooling test and found abnormal temperatures in both the fresh food and freezer compartments. Inspected the compressor area and identified an oil leak at the high-side coupler, indicating a refrigerant leak.

Replaced both high-side couplers with a service port and replaced the filter drier.

Pressure-tested the sealed system with 350 psi of nitrogen and bubble-tested all joints with no leaks found. Pulled the system into a vacuum of 600 microns and charged the unit with 86 grams of R600a refrigerant. Cycled the ice maker and verified that it completed both the harvest and fill functions properly. Advised the customer to allow 24–48 hours for the refrigerator to fully regulate and reach normal operating temperatures.
