Samsung Microwave - Door Seal Loose & Damaged Interior Liner

Repair Summary

Customer reported that the microwave door seal was hanging loose from the inner door and that the microwave's interior liner was cracked and damaged. Customer stated that they had closed on the home last month. Upon visual inspection, discovered physical damage to both the inner door and microwave liner. The damage appeared consistent with an object becoming trapped between the door and liner when the door was closed, resulting in dents and damage to both components.


Contacted Samsung Technical Support and reviewed the findings. Determined that the microwave is not repairable because the damaged interior liner is not a replaceable component. Due to the extent of the physical damage, replacement of the microwave is required. Customer was advised that resolution would be the responsibility of the builder.
