Repair Summary

Checked cooktop for burner not heating. Upon arrival, found the burner element defective. Replaced the burner element and infinite switch together. Tested the burner and verified proper heating with no issues. Attempted to locate the person responsible for the warehouse to advise that the repair was completed but was unable to make contact.


Also inspected the electrical connection at the rear of the unit and found the required jumper between neutral and ground missing for the existing 3-wire connection. After completing testing, disconnected the unit from power as a safety precaution. Unit checks normal following the repair, but the electrical connection requires correction before the unit is placed back into service.
